ECS: Consulation re: a potential move to Cohort Entry for New Entrants Students from 2027

Dear Parents and Whānau,

At Emmanuel Christian School, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our learning environment. We are currently exploring a move to cohort entry for our newest learners starting in 2027.

While your children are already settled with us, this change may affect your family if you have younger siblings yet to start school. Furthermore, cohort entry has been shown to benefit the children already in the class by minimizing weekly disruptions and allowing the peer group to remain more settled. It also provides opportunities for us to hold more meaningful group welcoming events for new families. More information is included in the survey
