The timetable for the new route 27 has better times for students travelling to and from Emmanuel Christian School.  Children 5-12 years old travel free with a Metro Card.

News from the Library

The library is continuing to be a popular place to be – class visits most days, and a good number of students are here on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the lunchtime, browsing, reading, playing board games, drawing, or just hanging out. There were 1,125 books issued in the month of August. Great effort!

The Christchurch City Libraries Van is coming back for a visit next Tuesday, 5th September, from just after 8am until the end of lunchtime. Students who have library books to return from last time, may do so, then, and obviously may borrow some more books for the month. Membership forms are still available from the school office or school library. Of course, they will be available from the outreach librarian on the day.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to pop inside the van for a look, and students will be able to visit in small groups throughout the day, including at interval and lunchtime.

Any questions, please contact Mrs Nicki Davison.

Culture Day Thank You

A massive thank you to all the parents who helped us make the Cultural Day this year so special. It was an incredible blessing to have you all involved and working together to provide such a rich experience for our E.C.S whānau.

Thank you too, for the effort parents put into sending their children along in special clothing of the various countries. Watching the parade of colour in the morning was amazing. A true celebration of our diverse school community.
