Our Student Leadership Team
Our Student Leadership Team is led by our two Head Students of Whole School, Cayla and Grace, alongside a dedicated group of student leaders. Each leader formally represents and guides an important facet of Emmanuel Christian School, including Sports, Wellbeing and Sustainability, Arts and Culture, and our House Groups (Aroha, Piripono, Tika, and Tumanako).
Leadership Philosophy
Leadership development in our school is framed around a wealth of opportunities for students to grow personally and contribute positively to those around them. We believe that:
- Everyone has potential: Every student at Emmanuel is a leader in their own way, bringing their unique talents, gifts, and strengths to help others.
- Self-awareness comes first: Before leading others, ākonga must first know themselves and identify their own areas for development.
- Made in the Image of God: Because every student is created Imago Dei—in the image of God—they possess inherent dignity, worth, and purpose. Our leadership is a reflection of His character, calling us to serve others with love, integrity, and respect.
A Diverse and Talented Group
Our Student Leaders of 2026 represent a beautifully diverse and talented group. They bring a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds and global perspectives to their roles, speaking multiple languages and representing a wide variety of heritages within our school community.
Our Prayer for 2026: At Emmanuel Christian School, we pray that as our student leaders guide our school community this year, they will continue to keep the Lord as their foundation and His word a lamp to their feet.
