ECS Update Term 1, Week 8 – Thursday 20 March 2025

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,

Can I remind you that tomorrow (Friday 21 March) is a Teacher Only Day.  School will not be open for students.  This is an important day for staff to work on the new curriculum that is being implemented currently.

Monday this week was the 17th March, a day we call St Patrick’s day.  Often it is a day where we read in the newspaper of parties, the drinking of Guinness and poor behaviour choices.  Completely missing the journey of the gospel message coming to Ireland, and the way God revealed himself.  This story is a great one to talk about and help to strengthen our faith.  There are lots of places where you can find the details, including in this focus on the family article: Saint Patrick the impact of one believer.

Blessings

Precious Labels Fundraiser

You know how much we love it when students’ items (especially polar fleeces) are clearly labelled!  Here is your chance to purchase personalised clothing labels for your child’s uniform and other items.

We have set up an on-going fundraising link through Precious Labels which is NZ owned and operated. They sell a wide range of labels from stick-on labels for drink bottles, lunchboxes and shoes to stick-on, sew-on and iron-on clothing labels.

They have a huge range of personalisation options to help your child recognise their labelled items and uniform.

When you purchase anything from Precious Labels using our affiliate link below, the fundraising committee will receive 20% commission.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you and Request (Spare Uniform)

Thank you very much for the donations of Junior girls uniform items for us to keep with our spare uniforms for when accidents happen and little ones need a change of clothes.

We have enough summer dresses now, thank you very much!

We do still need girls underwear in a range of sizes from size 4 to size 8 and we could also do with a couple of pairs of small white socks.
If you would be willing to donate some please drop it at the Office.
